Bavaria blu Turnovers

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 100 g Bavaria blu
  • 100 g Regular quark, lowfat
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 spring onion
  • salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Dough:

  • 400 g puff pastry (frozen)
  • Flour to roll out
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon cream

Plus:

  • Spring onion and parsley to garnish

Pre-heat the oven to 220°C. To make the filling, slice the Bavaria blu into cubes and mix together with the quark, cornflour, egg yolk and finely chopped spring onions. Season with salt and cayenne pepper to taste. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of approx. 2-3 mm and cut into 8 squares à 10 x 10 cm each. Mix the egg yolk with the cream and use it to brush the edges of the dough squares. Arrande the filling in the middle of each square and fold over the dough to form a triangle, pressing the edges together lightly. Lightly brush the turnovers with the remaining egg and cream mixture and bake in the oven for approx. 20 minutes until golden brown.
